“May he who waited so long for me be blessed forever.”
-Saint Teresa of Avila
If you’ve been away from the Catholic Church for awhile, know that you’re missed. Through the gift and mystery of baptism the Church belongs to you, and you belong to the Church - always. Whatever the reason for your leaving the Church (or, perhaps your experience is that the Church left you), know that we want to make things right. Know that we want to join you in reconciliation. Believing in Christ, we never give up hope that we will all be united and reconciled in God’s time. Please, let us come together and find one another again.
At St. Rita we hope that we can always be a welcoming people, a community that you can always turn to in honesty and hope. We will never treat you as a “bad” Catholic or second-rate. We are committed to showing you respect.
Each year we host a program called “Catholics Come Home.” Simply put, this program provides a space wherein those who are thinking about returning to the Catholic Church can begin to explore the Catholic Church afresh without any of the pressures and anxieties that such a return might sometimes involve. Our goal is to invite honest and free discussion as well as resources to help you continue on your journey.
If, at any time, you’d like to explore “coming home” to the Catholic Church, please feel free to contact us at any time. We’re praying for you, and we hope we can be of service to you. The Church loves you, misses you, and is calling you home. Take that step.
