The Sacrament of Baptism “is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to
life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.
Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn…we become members of Christ,
are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission”
-Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213
Infant Baptisms are held most Sundays at 2:00 p.m. In order to have your child baptized, the parents must attend the Baptism class usually offered on the second Sunday of each month in the Staubach Family Wing room D-247. Godparents are not expected to attend the class, but are invited to do so. Parents' class attendance will be valid for up to three years from the date of attendance. Godparents must be married in the Catholic Church. If the godparent is single, then he or she must be at least sixteen-years-old and have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
