King David is perhaps the most vivid figure in the Old Testament. Although he was clearly favored by God, he was a far-from-perfect human being. This study looks at all the twists and turns of his long life -- fascinating in themselves but also important for the expectations they raised about his descendant, the Messiah. David is also traditionally the author of many of the Psalms. This study puts these great prayers and poems into the context of David's life.
