Welcome to the Sacred Music website of Saint Rita Catholic Church in the Diocese of Dallas. We place tremendous emphasis on sacred music as part of our vital liturgical celebrations. Our music program is praised for its excellence and broad scope. The Church teaches that liturgical music is a "necessary and integral part of the sacred liturgy" that "adds delight to prayer, fosters unity of minds [and] confers greater solemnity upon the sacred rites" (Sacrosanctum Concillium, 112).
All of us involved in our music ministry sincerely hope that you will give prayerful consideration to joining one of our choirs. There is a place for everyone from kindergarten to adults. Please feel free to reach out by email or phone and I'll try to answer questions as best as I am able. And feel free to stop by after Mass to say hello!

Liturgical Music, late August through mid - June- Saturday at 5:00 p.m. - Cantor and organ, traditional hymnody and service music.
- Sunday at 7:30 p.m. - Spoken Mass, no service music.
- Sunday at 9:00 a.m. – St. Rita Choir and Organ; traditional hymnody and choral music in Latin and English.
- Sunday at 10:45 a.m. – St. Rita Choir and organ, High Mass with Gregorian chant, Renaissance polyphony, English anthems.
- Sunday at 12:30 p.m. Bilingual Choir, piano, guitars, and percussion.
- Sunday at 5:00 p.m. – Lux Mundi Ensemble, piano, instruments, traditional and contemporary Catholic music, including repertoire from the Taizé tradition.
Summer (June-August)- Choirs on hiatus
- Same styles as above with cantors only
